Product description LFA 467 HT HyperFlash
Quick, easy and economical measurement of thermal diffusivity and conductivity!
The LFA 467 HT HyperFlash is based on the already established LFA 467 HyperFlash technology and does not require laser classification due to its innovative light source system. The long life of the xenon lamp provides cost-effective measurements up to 1250°C without expensive consumables
The patented ZoomOptics system optimizes the detector's field of view, eliminating any influences caused by diaphragms. The result is a significant increase in the precision of the measurement results.

The LFA 467 HT HyperFlash is the first flashlamp-based LFA system to reach temperatures up to 1250°C. One furnace with an integrated sample changer covers the entire temperature range in a compact format, which is what the LFA 467 HyperFlash series is known for. The light beam heats the bottom of the sample and an IR detector measures the temperature rise on the top. Even at these high temperatures, an efficient internal water-cooling circuit keeps the temperature of the surrounding components within a safe range, minimizing the consumption of liquid nitrogen for the IR detector.
An internal pump supports defined atmospheres through an automatic evacuation function before each measurement. Additional connections are available for external pumps. The vacuum-tight platinum furnace provides heating up to 50 K/min.
By means of the high data acquisition speed of up to 2 MHz, an optimal sampling rate and pulse width can be selected for, for example, metals as small as 0.3 mm and polymer foils as small as 30 μm. The patented pulse system ensures a limited pulse width effect and heat loss.
In addition to the standard round or square shaped solid sample holders, special application sample holders are available for the LFA 467 HyperFlash®:
- Low viscosity molten polymers and fluids
- Resin during curing
- Pastes and powders
- Fiber
- Laminated plastic material

The liquid sample holder design ensures continuous contact between the liquid and the crucible over the entire temperature range – even at temperatures below 0°C. A special sample holder made of cost-effective consumables is available for measurements of resins during the curing process. In addition, sample holders for measurements under mechanical pressure are included in our program. Customer specific sample holders are available on request.
Proteus Software
The Proteus® Software offers everything you need to perform the analysis and evaluate the data. By combining easy-to-understand menus and automated routines, a tool has been created that is extremely user-friendly while also enabling advanced analysis
The software offers useful functionalities such as a drag and drop function for arranging the types of sample holders at the different positions, determination of the specific heat with the corresponding method including Cp graph and determining the contact resistance in multilayer systems.p grafiek en het bepalen van de contactweerstand in meerlaags systemen.
Each Proteus version is linked to the specific instrument, but can of course be installed on other/ multiple computer systems.
