RDM Test Equipment is a British manufacturer and distributor of quality testing solutions that have become 'industry standard' in packaging and material testing. With over 30 years of experience, it is RDM's passion to help solve your material or packaging challenges. They don't just produce and sell test products. From their own laboratory they also offer test advice and contract testing services, which are facilitated by Technex.

RDM supports education and research projects and is always open to new and challenging testing techniques that can promote the quality testing of materials and packaging.

The company was founded in 1985 by brothers-in-law David Murrell and Michael James, both graduated Mechanical & Electrical Engineers from Middlesex and Essex Universities respectively. Their vision to help materials and packaging technologists develop and master materials is as relevant today as it was then.

Initially focused on measuring heat seal characteristics, the company now offers a range of more than 100 test instruments for packaging, polymers, pulp, paper, cardboard, textiles, rubber and foam; Used in many industries, including food and beverage, medical equipment and pharmaceutical, ink, printing and coating, electronic, industrial and educational institutions.

The RDM brand of test equipment is manufactured in the UK, supported by customer service, technical support and on-site maintenance and calibration services, all based at Hertfordshire headquarters operating under ISO9001 accreditation.
