Product description BioNavis MP-SPR Navi™ 210A VASA
6-sample automation not only for material characterization!
Our supplier BioNavis offers a wide selection of MP-SPR (Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance) with several unique functionalities and features. The MP-SPR build by BioNavis MP-SPR are used in various industries (Material Science & Life Science). The MP-SPR can measure the entire MP-SPR curve in both gas and liquid during one measurement. Adhesion (fouling and antifouling) of molecules on each other or on surfaces are quickly and easily recorded by the BioNavis MP-SPR Navi 210A VASA.
Meet the MP-SPR Navi™ 210A VASA! A wider inner diameter of the flow cell hoses and automation of 6 samples makes the MP-SPR NaviTM 210A VASA ideal for material characterization and nanoparticle research. The MP-SPR Navi™ 210A VASA is a powerful tool for both interaction studies and low characterization of molecules. How does MP-SPR work?
Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is one of the best known measurement methods for bio-molecular interaction analyses. It is popular for its sensitivity and real-time label-free principle.
The Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR) is based on the standard SPR theory, however with the unique optical setup MP-SPR measures a complete SPR curve that enables new insights into interactions. For example, the PureKinetics™ feature that provides measurements of small molecules, lipids and biomaterials without bulk effect (typical DMSO artifact). MP-SPR broadens the scope of traditional SPR from small molecules to Nano particles and even living cells. Measurements can even be performed in complex media such as serums.
MP-SPR also uniquely provides information about layer properties. Data such as thickness and refractive index (RI) are used in material characterization from Ångström, from thick layers down to micrometers or to ensure/establish the presence of the molecules on the surface.

- Kinetics (kon, koff)
- Affinity (KD)
- Concentration (c)
- Adsorption/Absorption

Software
Naturally, the MP-SPR Navi™ instruments include easy-to-use data acquisition and analysis software packages MP-SPR Navi™ Control and MP-SPR Navi™ DataViewer.
Both software packages are equipped with all our instruments. Both are available for an unlimited number of computers! For advanced analysis TraceDrawer™ is available for molecular interactions and LayerSolver™ for true layer characterization.
The complete BioNavis MP-SPR family from the simple MP-SPR Navi™ 200 OTSO (left model) to the most comprehensive MP-SPR Navi™ 420A ILVES (right model).
The instruments descripted above are designed and manufactured in Finland. In honor of the Finnish roots of the products, BioNavis named their instruments after Finnish wild animals: OTSO and KONTIO (bears), VASA (a reindeer), KAURIS (an ibex), NAALI (an arctic fox) and ILVES (a lynx).
Features and advantages of the MP-SPR Navi 210A VASA
- • Automated liquid handling of up to 6 different samples without user intervention,
- • "Software switch" for serial and parallel injections,
- • Sample additions by loop injections. This minimizes sample consumption,
- 4 simultaneous measurements in 2 liquid channels performed by two independent wavelength measurements at the same position. This unique combination enables detection of thickness and refractive index or conformation changes.
- Exceptionally wide angular range from 40° – 78°. This makes it possible to measure small organic molecules, large proteins and cells but also metal nanoparticles.
- A scan covers both environments: gas and liquid and enables bulk effect separation with PureKineticsTM.
- Thanks to precise injection pumps and integrated degasser, ideal conditions are created for buffer flows.
- Softwarepakket for quick and easy operation of the instrument and analyzing the results. With MP-SPR Navi™210A comes the LayerSolver , to determine thickness and RI via multiple wavelength measurements. TraceDrawer™ is a very powerful optional software program for determining "affinity and kinetic" constants.
- MP-SPR Navi™ instruments use optical RI matching elastomer and therefore sensors are very easy to exchange and further analyze with other methods such as AFM or microscopy.
- Open design gives easy access to removable "flowcell", hoses, pump and injection valve.
